My dad is a hero by Roneeza

L.I- W.A.L.T- write a recount about heroes.
Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I write a recount about my dad being a hero.

My dad is my hero because he fixes bikes whenever it's not working.  He helps me with my homework especially when I got stuck with my Maths. He helps me with my spelling words  and my handwriting.

My dad supports me in all my sports activities so that I will become a tennis champion someday. He is my true hero because he works hard to earn money to buy food for the family. He also cooks and makes us lunch for school every day. He looks after me and my  sisters after school and makes sure that we do our homework.

My dad is a fantastic dad.

The wonky donkey by Vaughan

T The wonky donkey One awful day I saw a donkey with one eye. It has one eye because a silly old hunter poked its eye with a sharp nail. So, I took my phone and called a vet. They took the donkey and went back to the vets clinic. They put a new eye in the wonky donkeys eye. After that the donkey jumped up and down. I ended up tired, so I went home. The next day I saw the donkey again and it followed me so I took him where the horse lived to keep him safe from the hunter. On the third day I got up and went to outside to feed the donkey. I saw the donkey ran back to its mum and dad. I went back home and lay on my bed.

My Sister's Naughty Cat by Soane

Last Friday my mum was scared because my sister's cat climbed up a high tree. She was scared because my sister's cat might touch the power line. So she rang the fire fighters and asked them to come and save my sister's cat up the tree. They came and climbed on the ladder and got my sister's cat down safely. They gave my sister's cat and she said "thanks for saving my cat.      Image result for Cats stuck up the tree . firefightersImage result for Cats stuck up the tree . firefighters

My crazy dog! by Elisha

One day,mum and I went for a walk with our dog. Her name is Wendy. We let her go for a run at the park. When she saw a cat, she chased it. We looked and looked for her but we could not find her. Our dog got lost so my mum called the police.

I was scared because I thought that we will never find her. Then I saw two policemen coming towards us at the park and they told us that they will do their best to find her. They found her in the bush. I was happy to see her again.

We said thank you to the policemen who helped us find Wendy. Then we went home feeling very happy.

Playing badminton by Xyril

Woohoo!It's badminton time!!
Image result for badminton

Last Friday our class went to play badminton in the hall. Then I saw the coach and he introduced himself to us,his name was Ben. He said he will teach us how to play badminton.

We did warm ups. The first thing we did was to jog to the other side of the hall and back. To be honest I ran not jogged as I was supposed to. Next we ran sideways facing the right wall and this time I followed the instruction.

After that our coach taught us how to hold the racket. He told us the parts of the racket and what not to do with it. Then he let us take a racket and taught us how to hit without the shuttle.

Each one was given a shuttlecock and practised hitting it. I tried to focus but the shuttle always falls down. Finally, we said thank you to the coach and and went back to class.

I enjoyed playing badminton,it was the best!

My Best Mum- by Punipuao

I love my mum because she always kisses me when I go to sleep and when I go to school. I love my mum when she lets me play with her friend's niece at their house.

When I am crying she cheers me up, she makes me laugh. She cheers me up when I fall down on the ground.
My mum is supportive when I perform a dance on stage. She shouts out, "Run fast!" when I am having a race. She tells me,"You can do this" when I am having a chess contest.

I love my mum because she is very special. She is always there for me. She is the best mum in the world.

ANZAC Day Celebration-by Akesa

Last Friday St. Patrick's School celebrated ANZAC day outside the library. First we sat down on the grass and waited for Miss Bullot to come and start the prayer for ANZAC day.

After that the teachers gave crosses to the children. Then we prayed to God to look after those people who have died for our country. Next we sang the National Anthem song. Then all students  in Room 7 said a prayer to God. Next some of the year eights and Room 5L the crosses on the grass.

WALT write a recount.
I know this when I write a recount about ANZAC day celebration.

Museum- by Kevin

Yesterday my family and I went to the Museum. We looked at all the things and dresses that people had created. I saw stairs that went up to the second floor. There was an open space, but we moved further inside the Museum.

Then we saw an exhibit about shells, animals and a tiny shell's lifeline of growing into a big shell. Before long I found a passage leading into the Ocean exhibit. Inside there were turtles, The Great White shark, a Mako shark, more dangerous sharks and lots of fishes. I thought I would get lost.

Another passage leads to the Volcano exhibit. There was 3 different types of rock from volcanoes and there was rock gongs that people made!  Also there was a simulation about the biggest volcano's eruption. It was scary. I thought it was a real eruption.

Lastly we went  to the car park to go home. I was really tired from walking up, down, left,  right and backwards.

I love my mum! by Justice

She buys and give me lollies. She supports me when I do sports whether I win or lose.

I am blessed to have the best mum ever. She is my one and only mother. I love my mother more than chocolate.

I love ice cream, it's the best! by Mary

                                            Ice cream
Last Thursday me and my class made ice cream. First, we cracked 4 egg whites in a big bowl and then we put the egg yolks in the second big bowl. Lupe's group had to mix the egg whites first until it  became fluffy and thick. My group had to mix the egg yolks to so that they will become fluffy and thick too. Xaveir's group had to mix the cream to make it thick. Then we put the egg whites, egg yolks and the cream together. Every one had a turn mixing the egg whites, the cream,to the egg yolks together. Lastly, every one had a turn to put all the ingredients in a container, so Mrs Twomey can put it in the freezer.
